LOVEBIRDS

So you’ve got the ring, booked the venue, narrowed down your dress to a handful but still can’t decide on a theme? One good way to choose a theme is to start looking at invitations and wedding stationery. Usually the style you are most attracted to gives you a good indication of the type of wedding best suited to you.
For 2013 the “homemade,” yet polished, rustic look is still very big in wedding stationery — think birds, burlap, kraft paper, garden chic. Incorporating paint as well as graphic design — watercolor papers and floral gouache designs, for example — is also a big trend because it gives that handmade feel. Geometric stationery with big bold sans serif fonts and blocks of color is also on the rise. Letterpress stationery is making a massive comeback, as is laser-cut detailing. You can dye the edges of letterpress paper in different colors and letterpress allows designs to be pressed with metallic foiling, which adds such an amazing touch. Couples have really taken notice of how important the fonts are when trying to establish a theme. The script font has really made it’s way out this year, as new “hip” elegant fonts have come into the limelight.

Still confused? We’ve narrowed it down to the invites below:

Our new Fly Me to the Moon suite showcases a unique way to incorporate your wedding song into your wedding stationery – we used Frank Sinatra’s, “Fly Me to the Moon”, lyrics in the envelope liner…what do you think?  Would you include your First Dance lyrics in a subtle way like this?  As with all aspects of our stationery your envelope liner can be customised to make your stationery uniquely yours.

It’s not often I come across a wedding that takes place in my hometown of Castlerea, Co. Roscommon that looks like a styled Magazine Shoot, so when I spotted this beauty over on One Fab Day’s blog I was giddy to see Castlerea – well the beautiful Clonalis House looking so stunning.

My family stayed in the renovated stables a few summers ago and everyone loved it there – including this little man.  How quickly time flies…..
